Description

The three chairs on this page are one product family sold at three configuration levels, not three unrelated products. They share the same mesh construction, the same gas-lift architecture and the same five-star base logic. What changes is the equipment: a fixed-armrest task chair for high-volume floor plans, a mid-back task chair with flip-up armrests and a 30° recline for shared and multi-shift desks, and a high-back ergonomic mesh office chair with an adjustable headrest and a retractable footrest for executive and home-office use.

The first level is the MR-MC040, an ergonomic mesh office chair built for repetition. The back is black mesh stretched over a contoured frame with a built-in tiered lumbar piece, the armrests are fixed loops that carry the forearm from the back frame down to the seat, and the height is set by a 100# painted gas lift in Class III with a dust-free cover. It is the model that goes into open-plan floors and training rooms by the container, because there is nothing on it to adjust, break or explain.

The second level is the MR-MC002, the same mesh platform with the armrests made pivoting and the back given 30° of recline. The armrests flip up and out of the way so the chair can be pushed fully under a desk, which is what makes this ergonomic mesh office chair work in hot-desking rooms and call centres where the chair has to disappear at the end of a shift. The lumbar support on this model is an external slotted panel set into the back frame rather than a moulded-in shape, so it holds its position against a user who leans back repeatedly.

The third level is the high-back recliner, where the mesh carries a separate adjustable headrest and a footrest that retracts under the seat. The headrest measures 34 × 17 cm and moves independently of the back; the footrest extends to 39 cm wide so a reclined position is actually supported rather than implied. The base is a 66 cm metal star rather than nylon, and the seat runs 48 to 58 cm off the floor. This is the ergonomic mesh office chair for the buyer who wants one seat to cover focused work, calls and a midday recline without moving to a sofa.

Because all three sit on one frame family, a distributor can stock a single spare-parts set, quote one lead time and present one price ladder instead of three unrelated SKUs. The mesh, the gas lift, the casters and the base tooling are common to every ergonomic mesh office chair in the family; only the armrest, back and headrest assemblies differ.

Key Features

  • C-shaped mesh back – The back frame of every ergonomic mesh office chair here follows the natural curve of the spine and closes on the lumbar area, so support comes from the shape of the frame rather than from a strap-on cushion.
  • Breathable mesh seat surface – Open honeycomb mesh under the seat lets air move through instead of trapping it, which is the difference between an ergonomic mesh office chair that is tolerable in August and one that is not.
  • Deep ventilation, high-quality foam – The seat is moulded foam under mesh, soft and skin-friendly in contact while still holding its shape under a full working day.
  • Flip-up pivoting armrests (MR-MC002) – The armrests swing up and back so the chair tucks under a 75 cm desk, and the padded top supports the forearm when the back is reclined.
  • Fixed loop armrests (MR-MC040) – A single moulded loop from back frame to seat, with no adjustment to loosen and no mechanism to fail.
  • Adjustable armrests with PU pad (recliner) – Height and pad depth are set to the user, with a soft PU pad instead of bare plastic under the elbow.
  • 30° recline – The back tilts 30° from upright on the MR-MC002, enough to release tension between tasks without turning the chair into a lounger.
  • Adjustable headrest, 34 × 17 cm (recliner) – A separate mesh-covered headrest adjusts in height and angle, so the neck is supported at 123 to 136 cm overall height rather than only at the top of the back.
  • Retractable footrest, 39 cm wide (recliner) – Stows under the seat and pulls out on rails; wide enough to take both legs rather than one.
  • Two lumbar approaches – An external 45 cm slotted panel on the recliner and MR-MC002, a moulded tiered shape on the MR-MC040; both target the same point on the lower back.
  • 100# gas lift, Class II or Class III – Black coated or painted, with a dust-free cover over the cylinder and a lever under the seat for height.
  • Explosion-proof gas lift, tested – Every lift is pressure-tested before assembly; the cylinder is the one component on an ergonomic mesh office chair that must not be bought on price.
  • 360° swivel – Precision swivel action on all three models, with tilt-tension adjustment on the task chairs.
  • 280# nylon base or 66 cm metal star – Nylon for volume and cost control, polished metal for the executive tier of the mesh office chair range.
  • PU casters – Smooth and quiet on hard floors, floor-friendly on timber and tile, twin-wheel for direction changes in tight desk runs.
  • Rust-resistant plating – The metal base and gas-lift hardware are plated, so the finish stays bright through humid storage and sea freight instead of blooming white.

Materials & Finish

  • Mesh – Woven mesh with enough tension to support the lumbar region without a rigid shell behind it; black and light grey as standard on every mesh office chair in the range.
  • Moulded foam – High-density foam in the seat, cut to hold its shape rather than compress into a bowl after a year.
  • PP armrest with PU pad – Glass-filled polypropylene structure with a soft polyurethane contact surface on the MR-MC002 and the recliner.
  • Steel back frame – The C-shaped back is a steel and engineering-plastic assembly, not a single moulded shell, which is what allows the recline on the MR-MC002.
  • 100# gas lift cylinder – Black coated (Class II) or painted (Class III), nitrogen-filled, with a dust-free cover over the exposed rod.
  • 280# nylon base – Glass-filled nylon star, moulded in one piece with the caster sockets.
  • Plated metal base – Polished and plated on the recliner, finished for corrosion resistance as well as appearance.
  • PU casters – Polyurethane tyres on twin-wheel housings; quiet on hard floors and non-marking on light surfaces.

Assembly & Installation

Each ergonomic mesh office chair ships knocked down in one carton. Assembly is the standard five-step sequence: press the five casters into the base sockets, drop the gas lift into the base centre, bolt the mechanism to the underside of the seat, fix the back to the mechanism, then fit the armrests to the seat frame.

The casters seat with hand pressure and do not need a mallet; if a socket feels tight, check for packing tape before forcing it. The gas lift must sit fully into the base taper before the seat goes on — a lift standing proud of the base will feel loose in use even though every bolt is tight.

Armrest screws go in finger-tight first and are torqued after the back is aligned, because the armrest is what squares the back to the seat on the MR-MC040 and MR-MC002. On the recliner, the footrest rails are fitted before the seat is turned over, since the fixing bolts are only accessible from underneath.

One carton holds one chair with the hardware bag, an assembly sheet and the caster set. No tools beyond a hex key are required, and the hex key is in the bag.

Applications

  • Open-plan offices – The MR-MC040 in black, ordered by the container, with nothing to adjust and nothing to explain to a new starter; the default mesh office chair for high-density floors.
  • Call centres and shift desks – Flip-up armrests let the MR-MC002 push fully under the desk between shifts, which is what keeps a 120-desk floor clean at handover.
  • Hot-desking and coworking – One ergonomic mesh office chair, many users: 30° recline, height range across 10 cm of gas lift travel and a lumbar panel that resets rather than deforms.
  • Home offices – The recliner with headrest and footrest covers a full day of focused work plus the calls in between without a second piece of furniture.
  • Healthcare and clinic admin – Mesh is wipeable and does not hold warmth the way upholstery does, which matters on long shifts in a warm room.
  • Training and education – Fixed armrests and a nylon base survive being moved, stacked against a wall and sat on by people who are not thinking about the chair.
  • Executive and manager offices – The high-back mesh recliner reads as senior seating without the weight and heat of a leather executive chair.
  • Hotel business centres and guest rooms – Mesh dries fast, tolerates cleaning, and the recliner doubles as a reading chair.

Because the three models share tooling, a mixed order is a normal order rather than a special one: a container can carry the entry task chair, the flip-up model and the recliner together, with one set of spare parts and one instruction sheet format. Custom mesh colours carry their own minimum because the mesh is woven to order.

Certifications

  • amfori BSCI – Social compliance audited manufacturing, with the audit maintained on the current cycle. The audit report is available to buyers on request.
  • ISO 9001 – Quality management system covering incoming material inspection, in-process checks and final inspection before shipment.
  • FSC – Chain-of-custody certification for the carton and any wood-containing components in the order.

Every ergonomic mesh office chair order runs a pre-production sample before mass production and a final inspection before shipment, which is the quality route stated on the product pages and the one the factory is audited against.

Packing & Logistics

One ergonomic mesh office chair per carton, standard export carton, with the hardware bag, caster set and assembly sheet inside the same box. Cartons are specified for container loading and for repeated handling at a distributor's warehouse, not just for the first journey.

Shipment is FOB Shanghai or Ningbo. Mixed-model containers are loaded to the buyer's ratio, and the packing list is issued per model so that a distributor can receive, count and shelve without opening every carton.

Service

  • Minimum order – 20 to 50 pcs on regular and in-stock finishes. Special mesh colours carry a 200 pcs minimum. Mixed models in one container are accepted.
  • Samples – Made to order, typically 7 working days. The sample fee is returned against the bulk order.
  • Bulk lead time – 25 to 35 working days for production orders, counted from artwork and deposit confirmation.
  • Payment – 30% T/T deposit, balance against copy of B/L. L/C and Escrow accepted. USD and EUR both quoted.
  • Spare parts – Casters, gas lifts, armrest pads and back frames are supplied as service parts, so a distributor can support installed chairs without holding a complete spare mesh office chair.
  • Programme support – For a 50-hotel European chain we consolidated four seating SKUs onto one modular platform, cutting logistics cost by 25% and delivery time by 40%. For US e-commerce brands we run 15 to 50 pcs opening orders with private labelling, which took 60% off their launch time. A North American brand tripled sales in two years on flat-pack packing that cut ocean freight by 35%.
  • Warranty – One year on the chair, covering the gas lift, mechanism, base and casters under normal commercial use.

The factory has been making and exporting furniture for nearly 20 years from Jiaxing, 90 km from both Shanghai and Hangzhou, and ships mainly to the US, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and Japan.

FAQ

Q: What is the difference between the three ergonomic mesh office chairs? A: They are the same mesh platform at three equipment levels. The MR-MC040 has fixed armrests and no recline, the MR-MC002 adds flip-up armrests and a 30° recline, and the recliner model adds an adjustable headrest, a retractable footrest and a metal base.

Q: Can I mix models in one container? A: Yes. Mixed models in one container are accepted, and the three share tooling, so there is no mixed-order penalty on an ergonomic mesh office chair order.

Q: What is the seat height range? A: The recliner model adjusts from 48 to 58 cm off the floor through 10 cm of gas-lift travel, with the armrests running 64 to 72 cm. The task chairs use the same 100# cylinder architecture; the exact range for a given base is confirmed on the drawing at quotation.

Q: Is the headrest adjustable? A: Yes, on the recliner model. The headrest is 34 × 17 cm and adjusts for height and angle independently of the back, so the neck is supported whether the chair is upright or reclined.

Q: What is the minimum order quantity? A: 20 to 50 pcs on regular and in-stock finishes. Special mesh colours require 200 pcs because the mesh is woven to order. Opening orders of 15 to 50 pcs are accepted for private-label programmes.

Q: Which gas lift class do you use? A: The MR-MC040 uses a 100# painted Class III lift; the MR-MC002 uses a 100# black coated Class II lift. Both carry a dust-free cover. Every lift is pressure-tested before assembly.

Q: Do you offer OEM logos and private label? A: Yes. Logos can be embossed on the back frame, embroidered on the seat or printed on the headrest, and packaging, documentation and product data can carry the buyer's brand in the buyer's languages.
